Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke on Mann Ki Baat after the success of Operation Sindoor conducted by India on 7 May in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK). Launched on May 7 in response to the April 2025 Pahalgam attack that killed 26 civilians, the operation targeted nine terror hubs in Pakistan and PoK, eliminating over 100 terrorists. Modi called it a “new normal,” emphasizing India’s zero-tolerance policy, as per News18, inspiring national unity and patriotism.

Precision and Indigenous Power
Operation Sindoor showcased India’s military prowess, using Made-in-India drones and missiles to destroy key terror bases, including those in Muridke and Bahawalpur, linked to global attacks like 9/11. Modi praised the armed forces and scientists for their precision, noting the operation’s success in desert and mountain warfare. This display of indigenous technology, from loitering munitions to advanced surveillance, has positioned India as a leader in 21st-century warfare, boosting self-reliance.

A Message to Pakistan
Modi’s address sent a stern warning to Pakistan, stating that terror sponsorship would lead to its downfall. He rejected “nuclear blackmail” and declared that future talks would focus solely on terrorism and PoJK. The operation, suspended after Pakistan’s ceasefire plea, remains a policy of decisive retaliation, with India’s forces on high alert. Modi emphasized that “terror and talks cannot coexist,” reinforcing India’s resolve.

National Unity and Global Impact
The Pahalgam attack united Indians across communities, demanding justice. Modi dedicated Operation Sindoor to the nation’s women, symbolizing an “unbroken pledge” for their safety, per pmindia.gov.in. Globally, 23 FATF nations, including the US, backed India, amplifying its stance against cross-border terrorism.

A New Era of Strength
Operation Sindoor has redefined India’s security doctrine, blending strength with restraint. Modi’s vision of a terrorism-free world, rooted in unity and self-reliance, has resonated deeply, setting a bold precedent for future responses.
