National News: A significant breakthrough has emerged from Operation ‘Mahadev,’ carried out by security forces on July 28 in Dachigam, Jammu and Kashmir. During the mission, three terrorists were eliminated. Investigations later confirmed that all three were Pakistani nationals linked to the notorious terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba. These terrorists were directly involved in the recent Pahalgam attack, which claimed the lives of 26 innocent civilians. The brutality of that incident shocked the entire nation and prompted swift and decisive action from security agencies.
Evidence recovered from the encounter site has completely unmasked Pakistan’s involvement. According to news agency ANI, security forces seized several items, including Pakistani ID cards, chocolate wrappers, satellite phone logs, and other crucial material. These findings undeniably prove that the slain terrorists were residents of Pakistan. For the first time, Indian agencies have secured such conclusive proof directly linking Pakistani soil to terrorist operations in Jammu and Kashmir, exposing the reality of state-backed shelter and support for extremists.
Addressing Parliament on July 29, Union Home Minister Amit Shah stated, “For the first time, we have obtained official documents issued by the Government of Pakistan, which conclusively establish the nationality of the Pahalgam attackers.” He hailed the operation as a major achievement for India’s security forces and emphasized that this evidence has laid bare Pakistan’s duplicity before the world.
The three terrorists neutralized in Operation Mahadev were identified as Suleman Shah, alias Faisal Jatt, Abu Hamza, alias Afghan; and Yasir, alias Jibran. Of them, Suleman Shah was classified as an A++ category Lashkar commander and is believed to have masterminded and led the Pahalgam attack. Abu Hamza, an A-grade commander, served as the second gunman, while Yasir, alias Jibran, also an A-grade commander, was tasked with providing security cover during the assault.
This successful operation once again underscores that Pakistan’s hand is deeply entrenched in the wave of terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir. By eliminating the perpetrators of the Pahalgam massacre, Indian forces have not only avenged the deaths of innocent civilians but have also sent a clear and powerful message: India is fully capable of dismantling any terror plot on its soil. The achievement is being praised nationwide and is seen as yet another landmark victory in the country’s ongoing fight against terrorism.
