Major accident at Shakti Peeth in Pavagadh, Gujarat, 6 people died due to collapse of cargo ropeway

Pavagadh Gujarat Accident: An accident took place at the famous Shakti Peeth located in Pavagadh, Gujarat, in which 6 people died due to the collapse of the cargo ropeway. The accident happened when people were going towards the temple through the ropeway. Rescue operations were carried out swiftly after the accident, and the administration promised to provide assistance to the families of the victims. 

Accident Caused By Ropeway Wire

The incident of the cargo ropeway falling at Shakti Peeth in Pavagadh took place at around 3:30 pm on Saturday. According to preliminary information, this accident happened due to the ropeway wire breaking. The collector of Pavagadh has confirmed the death of six people at the spot. These include two liftmen, two workers and two others. This accident created panic in the entire area.

After receiving information about the incident, the local police and fire brigade immediately reached the spot. Relief and rescue work was carried out at the spot quickly. Considering the seriousness of the matter, the administration has immediately started the investigation process. Police and administrative officials have reached the spot, and the matter is being investigated.

Announcement made by the administration

Panchmahal Collector has confirmed the death of six people in this accident. He said that after this accident the administration has started relief work. The collector also said that this incident happened due to the breakage of the ropeway wire. The administration has talked about starting an investigation into the causes of the accident soon and appropriate action will be taken in this matter.
