Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave a stern warning to Pakistan against terrorism from Alipurduar and said that India has responded by entering enemy territory three times. Referring to Operation Sindoor, he described both security and development as India's priority. PM Modi laid the foundation stone of Rs 1010 crore city gas distribution project, which will provide PNG facility to 2.5 lakh households. She linked Bengal's development to the nation's bright future.
The Prime Minister lashed out at Pakistan, saying it is the only country left with terrorism and it is nurturing it. India has taken action against terrorism which Pakistan had not even imagined. "We worship power, decisive action against terror is our policy," he stressed.
In his speech, PM Modi described the development of West Bengal as essential for national progress. He said when India is marching ahead towards becoming a developed nation, Bengal's participation is equally important. The central government is constantly making efforts to accelerate infrastructure, innovation and investment in this sector.
Laying the foundation stone of the City Gas Distribution (CGD) project in Alipurduar and Behar, the Prime Minister informed that the scheme is being prepared at a cost of Rs 1010 crore. Under this, 19 CNG stations will be set up and more than 2.5 lakh households will get PNG facility.
The Prime Minister said the project will provide safe, clean and affordable gas supply to the people, which will reduce dependence on LPG cylinders and reduce cooking costs. Also, commercial establishments and industries will also benefit from it.
In the end, PM Modi praised the geographical and cultural diversity of Alipurduar, describing it as a region associated with borders as well as culture and described this land as a symbol of rich heritage.
