New Delhi: The country will witness a historic moment in its democratic journey on Wednesday as Prime Minister Narendra Modi has become the longest-serving Prime Minister in terms of continuous tenure, having completed more uninterrupted days in office than any of his predecessors.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday has set a new record in Indian politics by surpassing the record of country's first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, to become the country's longest-serving elected PM in uninterrupted tenure.
As of Wednesday, PM Modi has been in power continuously for 4,399 days, breaking the record of India's first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru, who held the PM's position for 4,398 consecutive days after winning the election.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be felicitated at the NDA meeting today. The meeting, to be held at Bharat Mandapam, will discuss Developed India 2047. Chief ministers and deputy chief ministers from 22 NDA-ruled states and union territories, along with the BJP leadership and key leaders of allied parties, will attend the meeting. A congratulatory resolution will be passed at the NDA meeting for PM Modi's award. Discussions will focus on improved coordination between the central and state governments, luxury projects, and the advancement of ease of living and ease of doing business.
