New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a high level meeting with the Secretaries of all Central Ministries and Departments on Tuesday at Seva Teerth.

All the Secretaries of Central Ministries and Departments will brief the Prime Minister regarding the functioning of their respective Ministries and Departments in terms of any reform and 'Ease of Living', 'Ease of Doing Business' and 'Atmanirbhar Bharat'.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had held a meeting with the Union Council of Ministers on May 21, barely hours after his return from his five-nation tour which included UAE, Italy, The Netherlands, Sweden and Norway.

Why is the meeting important?

The meeting comes amid a much-awaited Modi cabinet reshuffle, according to reports, adding to its significance as the prime minister reviews governance, delivery and the performance of ministries ahead of the government’s next phase of work.
