Kurukshetra, Haryana: Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Kurukshetra, Haryana to commemorate the 350th Shaheedi Diwas of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur on November 25. On the occasion, PM Modi also inaugurated the newly built Panchjanya memorial, built to mark the Lord Krishna’s sacred conch. He also spoke at length about the Ram Mandir temple.  

What PM Modi said about Ram Temple?

Speaking at the occasion, PM Modi highlighted the issue of Ram Temple and said that all our prayers were fulfilled when the decision came in favour of the Ram Temple. PM Modi said, "Five or six years ago, another remarkable coincidence occurred. In 2019, on November 9th, when the Supreme Court's decision on the Ram Temple was announced, I was in Dera Baba Nanak for the inauguration of the Kartarpur Corridor. I prayed that the path to the construction of the Ram Temple would be paved, that the aspirations of millions of Ram devotees would be fulfilled, and all our prayers were fulfilled. That very day, the decision came in favour of the Ram Temple..."

What PM Modi said about Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji?

Further speaking at the 350th Shaheedi Diwas of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, PM Modi said, "Today is a wonderful confluence of India's heritage. This morning, I was in Ayodhya, the city of Ramayana and now I am here in Kurukshetra, the city of the Gita. We are all here paying homage to Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji on his 350th martyrdom day. I respectfully bow to all the saints and respected Sangat present among us at this event..."

What Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini said?

Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini also accompanied PM Modi at the event, Speaking at the occasion, he said, "Today, on this sacred land, the Prime Minister inaugurated the Mahabharata Anubhav Kendra, to revive our cultural heritage. Through this, the entire world will now be able to witness the era of the Mahabharata. Similarly, you have today unveiled the sacred Sang Panchjanya of Lord Krishna. Prime Minister, you have also inspired us to celebrate the martyrdom day of the great Guru Tegh Bahadur. You have repeatedly expressed your gratitude for the contributions of Sikh Gurus to the land of India..."

It is to be noted here that PM Modi and Nayab Singh Saini released a special Coin and Commemorative stamp to mark the 350th Shaheedi Diwas of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, the revered ninth Sikh Guru on the occasion.
