National News: Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Bengaluru, India’s leading IT hub, to inaugurate several key infrastructure projects. His schedule included the flagging off of the Vande Bharat Express and the launch of the Yellow Line of Namma Metro, both significant developments for the city’s transportation network.
In his address to the people, PM Modi spoke about Operation Sindoor, a military offensive that dealt a severe blow to terrorist networks and sent a strong message to Pakistan. He remarked, “Operation Sindoor demonstrated the power of our armed forces to eliminate terror bases deep within enemy territory and to bring Pakistan to its knees within hours. This operation revealed the new, resolute India to the world.”
PM Modi emphasized that this was his first visit to Bengaluru following the success of Operation Sindoor, highlighting the increased strength and resolve of India’s defense forces. The operation proved India’s commitment to defending its sovereignty without compromise.
Focusing on the economy, PM Modi stated, “Over the past 11 years, India’s economy has risen from the 11th largest globally to the 4th. We are on track to become the world’s third-largest economy in the near future.” This growth marks India’s expanding role in the global economic order.

He further praised the country’s digital revolution, noting that digital services have reached even the remotest villages. Remarkably, India accounts for over half of the world’s real-time digital transactions through its UPI platform, showcasing its leadership in financial technology.
Looking ahead, PM Modi shared his vision for a Tech Aatmanirbhar Bharat, where India becomes self-sufficient in technology. He stressed that Indian companies have earned global recognition, but now the focus must shift toward fulfilling India’s own technological needs. “From software to applications, technology is integral to all sectors, and harnessing this potential will help India reach new heights,” he concluded.
