Pune: An unfortunate incident took place near Bund Garden Metro Station in Pune on Sunday morning. The tragic accident killed two people and one got seriously injured. As per the statement of police, the accident occurred at around 5 am.
The accident took place when a car lost control and crashed into a metro pillar in Pune. Several images and videos of the car accident was posted by social media users online.

The accident was quite deadly and lead to the complete distortion of the vehicle. According to the statement of the Koregaon Park police station official, the incident occurred in the Bund Garden area.
After the primary investigation, the officials have identified the deceased as Hrithik Bhandare and Yash Bhandare. An occupant suffered a serious injuries and was taken to the hospital location in the area.
After the car accident, the investigation process has already started and after the preliminary investigation, it was said found that their are chances of drunk driving, as liquor bottles were also found inside the car.
In her statement, Senior police inspector Sangita Jadhav said, "At around 4:30 am, a car hit a pillar of the Bund Garden Metro station. As per the primary information, two persons in the car died while the third person sustained serious injuries."
She further added, "We are in the process of ascertaining the identity of the deceased and also verifying how the accident took place."
Jadhav continued to say, “Doctors have pronounced two people dead and the third remains critical. The identities of the three have been established and their family members have been informed. The details of the three will be shared after their relatives reach the hospital.”
Meanwhile another officer from the Koregaon police station said, “We are establishing the exact cause of the accident. Primary observations suggest that the driver lost control and rammed into the pillar. We are probing if there were any factors that contributed to the mishap. The CCTV cameras in the area are being examined.”
