National News: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab President Aman Arora has described the vigilance remand of former minister Bikram Singh Majithia as a historic milestone in the ongoing war against intoxication. He appreciated the campaign being run under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and said that from today millions of families of Punjab have started getting justice, who lost their children due to drug addiction.

"Where did 540 crores come from Majithia?"

According to the Vigilance Department's FIR, the companies associated with Majithia have revealed a unique amount of Rs 540 crore, out of which Rs 161 crore was transferred without documents and Rs 141 crore was transferred through fake shell companies.

Questioning this, Aman Arora said, "Where did so much money come from Majithia? Is there a money printing machine in his house?" Investigation has also revealed that crores of assets were purchased from this amount, which deepen the suspicion of being connected to drug money.

Drug Nexus decisive injury

Arora bluntly said, "This action is not only against Majithia, but is against the entire drug gang. It is our resolve to free Punjab." He alleged that the Akali Dal, BJP and Congress connivance with drug smugglers in the past and pushed the state's youth towards ruin.
He also mentioned the investigation initiated by the ED in 2014, in which the investigating officer was transferred to save Majithia.

"No one will escape now" - AAP's commitment

Aman Arora described the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal as decisive against the drug mafia. He said that, "The AAP government and Punjab Police together are bringing justice to the families who had been neglecting the system for years."
He described the remand of Majithia as the first concrete step towards cleaning Punjab and promised that the entire chain of the drug mafia would be exposed in the coming time. It is clear from the arrest and vigilance remand of Bikram Majithia that drug business in Punjab will no longer get political patronage. The Aam Aadmi Party is considering it as the beginning of a social revolution, which is aimed at making Punjab completely intoxicated.
