55 Lakh Punjabis Affected, AAP Slams Deletion From Free Ration List, Press Conferences Across All Districts

Punjab ration card: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has opened a big front against the central government and BJP on the issue of people's names being removed from free rations in Punjab. On Sunday, ministers and MLAs held press conferences at all the district headquarters across the state and launched a scathing attack on the BJP. AAP leaders alleged that the central government is conspiring to snatch the ration of 55 lakh Punjabis, which will not be allowed to succeed at any cost.

AAP leaders said that after vote theft, BJP's new tactic is now "ration theft." The Punjab government is committed to the rights of the poor and the general public of the state, and no person's ration card will be allowed to be cancelled.

Center accused of conspiring to stop rations for Punjabis

Aam Aadmi Party ministers and MLAs said in a press conference that the BJP and the central government have already stopped rations for 23 lakh people in July, and now they are threatening to stop rations for 32 lakh more cardholders from September 30. This step is a direct injustice to the poor and farmers of Punjab.

Outrage of AAP leaders at the district level

On Sunday, AAP Punjab President and Cabinet Minister Aman Arora, Minister Harpal Cheema, Harbhajan Singh ETO, Laljit Bhullar, Dr. Baljit Kaur, Tarunpreet Sondh, Dr. Balbir Singh, Dr. Ravjot, Hardeep Mundian, and Mohinder Bhagat, along with many MLAs, held a press conference and questioned the intentions of the Center. They said that as long as there is an AAP government in Punjab, no family's ration card will be allowed to be cancelled.

Anti-poor agenda exposed: AAP

AAP leaders said that the BJP government is making all kinds of excuses to harass the poor. If one member of a family commits a mistake, why should the entire family be punished for it? This clearly exposes the anti-poor agenda of the BJP. AAP leaders alleged that the BJP only cares about industrialists and corporate houses, while the common people and farmers are constantly neglected.

Punjab made the country self-sufficient in food grains

AAP leaders reminded that after the Green Revolution, Punjab made the country self-sufficient in terms of food grains. Earlier, India had to import food grains from America and other countries, but Punjab always kept the food reserves full with its hard work. Today, it is very unfortunate to deprive the same Punjab of rations.

Appeal to PM Modi to reconsider

AAP leaders appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said that free ration is the right of the poor, so the new conditions of the ration card should be reconsidered immediately. The central government should stop discriminatory and stepmotherly treatment towards Punjab.

BJP accused of illegal data collection

The Aam Aadmi Party also alleged that BJP leaders are illegally collecting personal data of people in the name of government schemes. The party demanded that such programs should be stopped immediately. AAP leaders said that BJP has already been stealing elections through manipulation of voter lists and fake votes. Now the attempt to remove names from the ration list in Punjab is also a part of this conspiracy.

Appeal to the public: Ask questions and boycott

AAP leaders appealed to the people of Punjab to ask BJP leaders wherever they meet them as to why the ration of the poor is being snatched away. If they do not answer, they should be collectively boycotted.
