National News: In a shocking turn of events, tennis player Radhika Yadav lost her life at the hands of her own father—a tragedy that shook the nation. Now, her closest friend, Himanshika Singh, has come forward to share the emotional truth behind Radhika’s troubled life. According to Himanshika, Radhika faced strict restrictions at home—from her clothes to her friendships and even her basic freedom.
“Her family had a problem with everything—wearing shorts, talking to boys, and even making videos,” Himanshika said.
Himanshika shared that Radhika had strict time limits set by her parents for going out and coming back home. “The tennis academy was just 15 minutes from her house, yet she always had to return on time.”
Even during video calls with friends, Radhika had to show her parents who she was talking to, making it clear that she was never free to be herself.
Radhika loved shooting videos, clicking photos, and meeting people. But slowly, her interests faded as her freedom was taken away. “She felt suffocated at home. She had to answer for everything. Eventually, she was left completely alone,” Himanshika shared emotionally.
Her family was obsessed with what society would think, and that pressure slowly broke Radhika from within.
In a strong statement, Himanshika directly accused Radhika’s father of emotionally tormenting his daughter for years. “He took away all her freedom. He constantly controlled her, criticized her, and made her feel ashamed for living her own life.”
Radhika may no longer be with us, but her story reflects the harsh reality faced by countless young girls—who are not allowed to live freely in their own homes. Radhika wasn’t just killed—her independence was. Her death holds up a brutal mirror to a society terrified of free-spirited daughters. The real question now is: Will we ever change this mindset before more Radhikas are lost?
