New Delhi: Amidst the ongoing student movement led by CJP (Cockroach Janata Party), Congress leader and leader of opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Saturday targeted the central government. He claimed that instead of removing Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, the government is considering sending him to some other ministry. Rahul Gandhi said that this is not a solution to the students' demand and students across the country want only one thing – Dharmendra Pradhan should be dismissed from the post of minister.

What did Rahul Gandhi claim?

Speaking to the media outside 10 Janpath, Rahul Gandhi said that he has received information that the government is looking at the option of changing Dharmendra Pradhan's ministry. But according to him this will not be justice to the students. He said that accountability is not fixed by changing the ministry.

What are the three main demands of the students?

Rahul Gandhi said that the agitating students have three clear demands and no compromise can be made on them. He alleged that responsibility for the irregularities in the education system should be fixed. According to him, the first and most important demand of the students is to remove Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan from the post.

What is the government's stance?

According to government sources, at present there is no question of Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation. The government says that it stands strongly with the Education Minister and resignation is not the solution to the matter. Sources claim that at present there is no plan to remove him.

What allegations did Rahul Gandhi make against Dharmendra Pradhan?

Rahul Gandhi said that Dharmendra Pradhan has become the face of the chaos and alleged corruption in the education system. According to him, merely changing the ministry is not enough on this issue related to the future of students. Unless the Education Minister is removed, the confidence of the students cannot be regained.

Why did political turmoil increase amid CJP movement?

CJP's agitation continues regarding the NEET-UG paper leak controversy. The students protesting at Jantar Mantar are adamant on demanding the resignation of the Education Minister. In such a situation, Rahul Gandhi's statement has given a new political turn to this issue. Now the focus is on what further decision the government takes amidst the increasing pressure from the movement and the opposition.
