Rajasthan Teacher Suspended After Girls Allegedly Forced To Strip Over Missing Rs 500

A case has come to light in a government school in the Bamanwas area of ​​Sawai Madhopur district where female students were allegedly stripped and searched for missing Rs 500. Following the incident, villagers protested at the school.

Jaipur: A shameful incident has come to light in Liwali village, Bamanwas subdivision of Gangapur City in Rajasthan. A teacher at the Government Higher Secondary School allegedly made Class 9 and 11 girls remove their clothes during a search after her Rs 500 went missing in a classroom. 

What is the case?

The incident occurred on Tuesday when around Rs 500 belonging to senior Hindi teacher, who is identified as Saraswati Meena, at the Government Senior Secondary School in Liwali village of Rajasthan's Sawai Madhopur district, went missing.

When the money was not found after a thorough search, the teacher locked the students of grades 9 and 11 in a room and, based on suspicion, made them strip naked in the name of a search. 

The students were deeply embarrassed by this incident and went home to tell their parents what had happened.

How did the parents react?

Upon hearing this incident, the parents became enraged and began creating a ruckus at the school. The news spread like wildfire, and a crowd of villagers gathered at the school. 

Upon receiving the information, Pratibha Meena, the acting CBEO of Bamanwas, and the police arrived at the scene. The villagers described the entire incident to the CBEO, who also took statements from the girls.

The villagers insisted on the suspension of two female teachers and created a ruckus. Eventually, the matter was reported to higher authorities at the district headquarters in Sawai Madhopur. 

What did the education department say?

A senior teacher, who is identified as Saraswati Meena, at the Government Senior Secondary School in Liwali village of Rajasthan's Sawai Madhopur district, was suspended by the state education department after serious complaints against her.

Following an inquiry into the matter, the education department has suspended the accused teacher and issued a letter to initiate disciplinary action against the school principal.

Additionally, vocational education instructor Vandana Sharma has been relieved of her duties to a service provider company.
