Ayodhya: On the completion of two years of the consecration of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday said that it was not just any religious event but the result of 500 years of penance and struggle. He reminded us that from 5th August 2020 to 22nd January 2024 and then 25th November 2024… these three dates will also be important for the coming generations.

What changed on the day of Bhoomi Pujan?

Yogi said that when Prime Minister Narendra Modi performed Bhoomi Pujan on August 5, 2020, for the first time it felt that the chapter of Ayodhya was moving beyond pain towards respect. According to him, that day “Rachna” replaced “Obstruction.”

What enthusiasm was seen among the public regarding the consecration?

Recalling the program of 22 January 2024, he said that on that day the emotional connection of the people in Ayodhya was clearly visible in their eyes. “As if a forgotten home has been found again,” said Yogi. He claimed that this is not just a temple but a return of the nation's self-confidence.

Why was November 25 different?

In his speech, he said that PM Modi coming to the temple for the third time and hoisting the saffron flag was a message—Sanatan Dharma is not dependent on any politics, any person, or any government. Yogi said, “The importance of Ayodhya does not increase or decrease due to someone's liking or not.”

Why were questions raised on former governments?

Yogi said, "Ayodhya was deliberately ignored for many years. But who can destroy Hanuman's city? Who can stop the one who is being controlled by God?" He also said that now the promise of not only religion but also development has been attached to Ayodhya.

Has Ayodhya now become not just a pilgrimage but the identity of a changing India?

After the program, the atmosphere in the city was visible—plaques with Ram's name on roadside shops, flower garlands, sounds of conch shells, and excitement like that of guests even among ordinary families. Local people say that the change in Ayodhya is not just of bricks and stones, but of thinking. A shopkeeper said, “Earlier there used to be only ceremonies here; now there is respect here.”

This feeling shows that not only the temple has been built, but also the trust. Taking this sentiment forward, Yogi Adityanath said that in the coming times, Ayodhya will become a place for the country where devotion and development will go together.
