National News: At a public event in Indore, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat said that good health and good education have become distant things for the common man today. He said that this is not only an issue of India but of the whole world. Earlier these facilities were easily available to everyone, but now the situation has changed. The biggest reason for this is the rapidly increasing business interference in these areas.
Mohan Bhagwat clearly said that today both education and health have been commercialized. Earlier it was considered service work, but now it has become a source of profit. He said that at a time when there was no greed for profit in these areas, even the poor and common people were able to take advantage of it. But now the situation is such that it has become impossible to get quality service without spending a huge amount of money.
The RSS chief reminded that earlier doctors and teachers used to consider their profession as a service. The purpose of treatment and education was only to serve and impart knowledge. But today's reality is that hospitals and schools/colleges are in the hands of big businessmen. Instead of the spirit of service, now the figures of expenses and fees decide whether someone will get treatment or education or not.
Bhagwat said that today the situation is such that people even sell their houses to get good education and better treatment. Many families get drowned in debt. He said that this situation is a dangerous sign for any society. If access to health and education is limited only to the rich class, then inequality in the society will increase further.
Mohan Bhagwat said that today education and health have become a business worth billions of rupees. Big corporate hospitals and private schools/colleges are constantly increasing fees and expenses. He said that earlier it was the duty of the teacher to make every student knowledgeable, but now this thinking has been left far behind.
Bhagwat called it a danger signal for the society. He said that if the situation remains like this, the children of the common man will be deprived of quality education, and poor patients will suffer due to lack of better treatment. This is harmful for any nation.
In the end, Bhagwat appealed that the government, society, and private institutions should come together to bring about a change in this situation. He said that education and health should return to the spirit of service; only then will real development be possible. it will further deepen the gap between the rich and the poor.
