National News: In the military conflict between India and Pakistan last month, the Russian-made S-400 air defense system became the real shield of the security of Indian airspace. All the potential threats fired by Pakistan - missiles, drones or other air attacks - were destroyed by this system in the air itself. Now Russia has also officially accepted that India's S-400 system overcame every challenge of Pakistan.

Russian diplomat confirmed: "S-400 did its job well"

Russia's Deputy Chief of Mission in India Roman Babushkin clarified on Monday that during the recent Indo-Pak conflict, S-400 Triumph demonstrated its capability and provided unbreakable security to India's air borders. He said, "We heard and saw that S-400 supported the Indian Army with full efficiency."

Remaining units will be delivered by 2025-26

On the supply of the remaining two units of S-400 to India, Babushkin assured that Russia will deliver them within the time limit. He said, "The deal for the remaining units of S-400 is underway, and we will complete it by 2025-26."

A historic deal of $5.43 billion was struck in 2018

It is worth noting that in 2018, India had struck a deal to buy five units of S-400 missile systems from Russia at a cost of US$5.43 billion. So far, India has received three units, one of which played an influential role in the recent conflict.

India-Russia defense partnership will be strengthened

Babushkin also indicated that bilateral cooperation between India and Russia will deepen further in the field of air defense and anti-drone technology. He said, "Our defense cooperation is decades old and now it is ready to touch new heights."
