New Delhi: AAP MP Sanjay Singh has submitted a notice in the Rajya Sabha demanding a detailed discussion on rising pollution levels in Delhi, the increasing use of bulldozers in the city, and the growing incidents of crime. He said these issues have become serious enough to warrant an immediate debate in Parliament.

Sanjay Singh Targets BJP Over History, Vande Mataram Row

Addressing the media, Sanjay Singh launched a sharp attack on the BJP, alleging that the party was trying to hide its failures by raising issues like Vande Mataram. He said the BJP’s ancestors acted as informants for the British and opposed the national flag. Singh alleged that the RSS did not hoist the tricolor at its headquarters for 52 years and had even passed a resolution against it during the Lahore session. He said the BJP has "no real respect" for Vande Mataram and is only using it as a political shield to distract the public.

Indigo Crisis: ‘BJP Protecting Big Capitalists’

Speaking about the ongoing Indigo Airlines crisis, Sanjay Singh accused the BJP of taking political donations from large corporations and protecting them. He alleged that Indigo gave a donation of Rs 31 crore to the BJP and that the party is now shielding the airline from accountability. Singh said records of this donation are now in the public domain, and it shows “how those in power are running their party with the help of big capitalists.” He claimed that no action will be taken against Indigo because of this relationship and suggested that the Adani Group might be eyeing a larger stake in the aviation sector.

Voter List Controversy in Uttar Pradesh

Commenting on reports of mass deletions from the voter list in Uttar Pradesh, Sanjay Singh said he had earlier warned about the possibility of 2 crore votes being cut. He added that recent reports now indicate that up to 3 crore names may be removed from the electoral rolls.

He said that if such a scale of voter deletion occurs, “what will be the point of elections?” Singh claimed that this would amount to a larger electoral manipulation than what allegedly took place in Bihar, and said elections should be halted if such deletions continue.

'Pollution, Bulldozer Action and Crime in Delhi Need Urgent Debate'

Sanjay Singh said that pollution levels in Delhi have reached a life-threatening stage, and this demands immediate attention from Parliament. He also questioned the increasing use of bulldozers in the national capital, citing the demolition of a 140-year-old temple and the homes of poor families.

He added that Delhi has “now become the capital of crime” and said all these issues must be discussed in the House without delay.
