Pune: Amidst the investigation of the famous Ketan Aggarwal murder case, an incident came to light that again brought the entire matter into the limelight. In connection with the investigation, Pune Rural Police took the main accused Siya Goyal to his house in Market Yard, Pune. During the search operation which lasted for several hours, the police seized some important items. When Siya came out of the house after the search was completed, she allegedly showed the middle finger towards the media persons present there and made objectionable gestures. Its video is becoming increasingly viral on social media.
According to police officials, the investigation team had taken Siya Goyal to her house so that possible evidence related to the case could be collected. During the search, the police recovered some clothes that were suspected to have been worn on the same day when Ketan Aggarwal died. These clothes will now be sent for forensic examination. Police hope that this can help in connecting the links of the case.
After the arrest of Siya Goyal, many old videos related to her are also going viral on social media. In a video, she is purportedly seen arguing with someone on the phone in a nightclub and is heard saying, "First she cheats, then she calls." However, the police have not confirmed the authenticity of this video nor have they called it part of the investigation yet.
Similarly, in some other viral videos, Sia is seen with co-accused Chetan Chaudhary in a cafe and at a cricket match. These videos are said to be from before the incident, but the police have not yet accepted them as official evidence.
Pune Rural Police claims that the murder of Ketan Aggarwal was part of a pre-planned conspiracy. According to the investigating agencies, the accused had also allegedly rehearsed the entire incident in another hilly area before the murder. Police are trying to connect the links of the entire conspiracy on the basis of call records, mobile location, deleted chats, digital data and forensic evidence. Apart from this, permission has also been sought from the court to conduct polygraph test and gait analysis of both the accused.
Ketan Agarwal, a 26-year-old real estate businessman, died after falling from Pune's Lohagarh Fort on June 18. Initially it was considered an accident, but later during investigation the police claimed that it was a planned murder. The police arrested Ketan's fiancee Siya Goyal and her alleged lover Chetan Chaudhary. Investigating agencies allege that both of them had conspired together to eliminate Ketan as he was becoming a hindrance in their relationship.
Police are now awaiting reports on the recovered clothes, digital devices and other forensic evidence. Investigating officials say that the charge sheet will be finalized only after analyzing all the technical and scientific evidence. At present, the police are busy connecting every link of the entire case and further action will be taken on the basis of new evidence.
