New Year’s Eve Tragedy: Telangana Student Dies in Germany After Jumping From Burning Apartment

Hyderabad: A 22-year-old student from Telangana lost his life in an apartment fire in Germany on New Year's Eve. It is being said that the fire spread rapidly and no way out was found, so the student jumped down to save his life. He died in hospital due to serious injuries. 

What is the identity of the student, and where was he from?

According to media reports, the deceased has been identified as Thokala Hrithin/Hrithik Reddy. He is said to be a resident of Malkapur village in Chilpur mandal of Jangaon district of Telangana. 

When did this accident happen?

The incident is said to be of 31st December 2025. According to reports, smoke and flames spread after the fire broke out in the apartment. The situation became such that the student was left with no safe option to escape and he jumped. Many reports say he was trapped in the fire with no “escape route.” 

What was the student doing in Germany?

According to reports, he had gone to Germany for higher education and was pursuing his Masters. In some reports, there are different details regarding his studies/institution and city, but the common thing in all is that he was living in Germany for studies.
