Continuous Rain Worsens Situation

Heavy rains in Rajasthan over the past four days have created major difficulties for residents and authorities. Several districts have experienced waterlogging, and rivers and drains are overflowing, causing flood-like conditions in many towns and villages.

Flood-Affected Districts

The flood situation is particularly severe in Sawai Madhopur, Kota, Bundi, Tonk, Dausa, Udaipur, Jhalawar, and Sikar. Authorities have intensified relief and rescue operations. More than 300 people were evacuated to safer locations in Sawai Madhopur and Kota.

Impact on Schools and Examinations

Due to the heavy rainfall, schools across 18 districts remained closed, and Kota University examinations were postponed. Waterlogging on roads and bridges has also created difficulties in commuting for residents.

Local Residents Speak Out

Locals reported that the river and drains suddenly overflowed, and the car was swept away by the strong currents, leading to the tragic accident. Authorities have warned people to avoid high-risk areas and stay in safe locations.

Relief Operations by Authorities

The Rajasthan government and local administration are actively engaged in relief and rescue work. Citizens have been urged to remain cautious during floods and rain and to seek help from rescue teams whenever necessary.

The Udaipur accident, along with ongoing heavy rains across the state, highlights how natural events can pose serious threats to life and safety. Through coordinated efforts by authorities and local communities, many residents have been evacuated to secure locations, and relief work is continuing.
