UGC Identifies 32 Fake Universities in India, Highest Number Found in Delhi

New Delhi: The University Grants Commission (UGC) has detected 32 fake universities in the country, which are running in 12 states. This news is a big alert for students and parents. In the last two years, this number has increased from 20 to 32, which means the network of fake universities is spreading. UGC has clearly stated that these institutions are not recognized under the UGC Act and their degrees will not be considered valid at all.

In which new states have fake universities been found?

Recently, the name of one fake university each has come up in Haryana, Rajasthan, Jharkhand and Arunachal Pradesh. Especially at a place named 'Global Human Peace University' in Bengaluru, UGC has issued an alert - this university does not have any permission to run.

Why are there so many fake universities in Delhi?
