Uttar Pradesh: Bride stabs groom on wedding night, elopes with uncle; leaves Hathras shocked

New Delhi: A shocking incident has emerged from Hathras, Uttar Pradesh. A bride attacked the groom with a knife on their wedding night, injuring him. She then fled with her lover, her uncle. Most importantly, the bride also took jewelry and cash from the house. The entire incident is reported to have taken place in Nagla Basti.

What happened on the wedding night?

It is reported that the bride was having an affair with her uncle. However, after the wedding on February 21, she arrived at her in-laws' house on February 22. On the wedding night, she refused to let the groom touch her. When he tried to touch her, she attacked him with a knife and then fled with her uncle. Following the victim's complaint, the police have registered a case and launched an investigation.

What did the bridegroom say?

The groom stated, "On the 22nd, at 9 p.m. on the wedding night, I approached her. I tried to touch her, but she became angry and told me to stay away from her. After that, she said, 'I'll either die or I'll kill you'. Then she took out a knife and stabbed me in the hand, slightly cutting my hand. After this incident, I called her family in the morning."

"Her aunt, uncle, and mother came. They all explained that this happens when you're newly married. Then they all left. Out of fear, I slept on a cot away from her that night. On the third day of the wedding, she ran away from home. She also took gold jewelry worth millions of rupees with her. When she ran away, she mixed drugs into the family's food, causing me and everyone else to faint," he added.

When the family woke up in the morning, she was missing. The entire house was searched and her family was contacted, but no information was found. Meanwhile, information came that she had run away with her uncle, who was also having an affair with him.
