National News: A remarkable incident occurred in Varanasi's Karkhiyaanv village on Sunday. Priya Saroj, the MP for Machhlishahr, was observed sowing paddy herself in the field. She cultivated paddy alongside the village's ladies in the customary method. Working with local labourers, the MP worked hard in the field for about 30 minutes. She sowed paddy in approximately five biswa fields. Many individuals in the community filmed the entire episode on camera, and the video and photographs quickly went viral on social media.
People are drawn to the MP's down-to-earth attitude. Rural women stated that they have never seen a public representative labour in the field like this before. Some of the MP's friends were also with her, taking photos and films while transplanting paddy.
Priya Saroj used Instagram and Facebook for sharing photographs and videos from her time working in the field. Within a few hours, these posts began receiving thousands of likes and comments. In this video, which has been shared hundreds of times on Facebook, she is seen working with the village's women. Everyone is excited to see the MP cultivating paddy.
Toofani Saroj, Priya Saroj's father, also has a strong agricultural background. Despite being a former MP and present MLA, he still manages his 26-bigha farm personally. MP Priya Saroj's behaviour reflects the family heritage. According to locals, the MP's act was a spontaneous effort rather than a show-off. The women who labour with her in the fields also thanked MP Priya Saroj, saying that she has given them a lot of support.
