Islamabad: Baloch rebel organisation Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) in Pakistan has claimed major action against the Pakistani Army. The organisation says that during the last three months it has captured more than 14 army posts in different areas of Pakistan. The BLA claimed that these posts were later completely destroyed and the weapons present there were also captured.
Some video footage has also been released by BLA to support its claim. In these, the fighters of the organisation are seen capturing some posts of the Pakistani Army. However, these claims have not been independently confirmed.
According to BLA, its fighters captured 14 posts of Pakistani security forces in different areas of Balochistan in the last three months. The organisation claims that the checkpoints were destroyed after gaining control of them.
BLA also said that weapons and other military equipment of Pakistani security forces were also seized during the operation. However, the organisation did not clarify the total number of weapons or military equipment it acquired.
BLA has released some video footage to support its claim. In these videos, fighters of the organisation are seen around some military posts. At some places the posts are seen in damaged condition.
The organisation claims that these are the same posts which were captured by its fighters and later destroyed. The video also claims to show weapons and other military equipment.
However, the date, location and full background of these videos have not been independently confirmed. In such a situation, the claims of BLA are currently being seen only as statements of the organisation.
According to BLA, its fighters targeted posts of Pakistani security forces in different areas of Balochistan. The organisation says that this action was taken at different places and some military posts were destroyed after their capture.
Important trade and strategic routes also pass through these areas. However, BLA has not made public the detailed information of all the posts in its claim.
The BLA in Balochistan has long claimed to be carrying out armed activities against Pakistani security forces. The organisation has earlier also taken the responsibility of targeting Pakistani army and security establishments.
This time BLA has claimed to have captured and destroyed 14 posts during three months. However, the actual circumstances of the events are not entirely clear as these claims have not been independently verified.
Despite the video being released by BLA, these incidents have not been independently confirmed. Independent information about when the videos were recorded, where they were shot and whether the posts shown in them actually belong to the Pakistani Army or not has not been revealed.
Therefore, at present the claims related to capturing the posts, destroying them and seizing weapons are being seen on the basis of BLA's statement only.
