It is reported that the star batsman will miss his 10th-grade board exams due to a training camp set up to prepare for the upcoming tournament. Vaibhav, who impressed everyone with his brilliant batting in the Under-19 World Cup, has decided to skip the board exams this year due to a busy schedule of training, camps, and tournaments.

Vaibhav, a resident of Tajpur, Bihar, studies at Modesty School in Tajpur, and his exams were scheduled from February 17th to March 11th. According to NDTV, Vaibhav's constant cricket commitments kept him away from home and school, which affected his exam preparation. Adarsh ​​Kumar Pintu, director of Modesty School, Tajpur, told the media that Vaibhav's exam form had been submitted and his admit card had also been issued. Podar International School had been designated as the exam center. However, after discussions with Vaibhav's father, Sanjeev Suryavanshi, it was decided that he would not appear for the exam this year.

How did Vaibhav Suryavanshi perform at U-19 World Cup?

Suryavanshi played a key role in India's Under-19 World Cup victory and will now play for Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2026. In the Under-19 World Cup, Vaibhav was the tournament's second-highest run-scorer. He scored 439 runs in seven matches at an average of 62.71 and a strike rate of 169.49, including one century, three half-centuries, and a best of 175.

Vaibhav broke the record by hitting 30 sixes in the tournament, surpassing South Africa's Dewald Brevis' 18 sixes in 2022. He now holds the record for most sixes in Under-19 World Cup history. Vaibhav is also India's top run-scorer in Under-19 ODIs. He has scored 1,412 runs in 25 innings at an average of 56.48 and a strike rate of over 165, which includes four centuries, seven half-centuries and a highest score of 175 runs.
