Sports News: The young Indian all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy played a huge role for India on the first day of the Lord's Test against England. The bowler scalped two wickets in his opening over of the day, sending the English openers back to the hut. However, Reddy has revealed that he took help and some advice from his Sunrisers Hyderabad teammate and the Australian captain, Pat Cummins. Reddy is playing his first red ball tour in England. He debuted in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy and impressed everyone with his batting technique. The all-rounder is working hard on his bowling as well.
Reddy said that he asked Pat about the difference between Australian and English conditions. "I just asked him (Pat Cummins, his captain at Sunrisers Hyderabad) what's the difference between Australia and England since this is my first tour, and he said that it's not going to be like a change, but you watch about the weather conditions and just play your game,” Reddy said in the post-day press meet.
“You will get to know because obviously I am going to play two India A tour games, so he said just try to learn as much as you can and you will get on there,” he added.
Morne Morkel is India's bowling coach. Reddy told the media about having a chat with Morne as well. “I have had chats with Morne as well. We are seeing good progression in my bowling and I am really enjoying working with him.” Morne Morkel has been India's bowling coach since almost an year, when Gautam Gambhir was appointed as the head coach.
AFter a tough Australian tour with the ball, Nitish Kumar Reddy made a promis eto himslef of working hard on his bowling. “After Australia tour I felt like I have to improve my bowling and consistency is what I look to achieve," he said. Redyy scalped two prized wickets of Ben Duckett and Zak Crawley in his first over of the day.
