Sports News: Following a commanding 97-run win in the series opener, Team India is ready to take on England in the second T20 of the five-match contest, scheduled to be played on Tuesday in Bristol. The series is being closely observed as both teams gear up for the 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, which will take place in England as well.

Mandhana Stars, England Crumbles

India scored a massive 210 runs in the first match held on June 28. Smriti Mandhana led the team, scoring a brilliant century (112 runs), combining elegant strokes and perfect boundaries.

Shreyanka Magical Debut

Young off-spinner Shreyanka Patil had a dream debut, picking up 4 wickets for just 12 runs in her four-over spell. Her flight, turn, and control left the English batters clueless. She was awarded the Player of the Match, and fans are eager to see her continue this form in the rest of the series. Her inclusion seems to have added a new edge to India’s spin attack, already boasting names like Deepti Sharma, Sneh Rana, and Radha Yadav.

Harmanpreet's return to strengthen the middle order

Harmanpreet Kaur is expected to return for the second match. She missed the opening game because of a muscle strain during the practice game. If found fit, she is likely to replace a middle-order batter to rebalance the lineup. The second T20 match between the India and England women's teams will begin on Tuesday at 11:00 p.m. IST. Fans can watch the match live on Sony Sports Network and the Sony LIV app.
