Sports News: The thrill of IPL 2025, which was postponed due to India-Pakistan tension, is going to return once again. BCCI has announced that the remaining matches of the league stage will start from May 17 and play till 27 May. The playoffs will start from May 29 and the tournament final will be played on 3 June.
Giving information on its official social media handle, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) said that the remaining 13 matches of the league stage will be held in 6 cities of the country. The playoffs will be announced soon.
Significantly, the IPL had to be temporarily suspended on 9 May due to increased military tension between India and Pakistan. BCCI had clarified that it is not appropriate to continue the event like cricket due to the situation like war in the country.
The league's first revised match will be played between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in Bengaluru on 17 May. After this, cities like Jaipur, Delhi, Lucknow, Mumbai and Ahmedabad will host the remaining matches.
The proposed match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals at Dharamshala was postponed for security reasons on 8 May. The match will now be played in Jaipur on 24 May.
During the league, on 18 and 25 May, two-two matches (double headers) will be played on Sunday. In total, 13 matches will be played in 11 days, after which the playoff phase will begin.
For the first playoff matches, Hyderabad and Kolkata were fixed as the host site, but keeping in mind the security situation, BCCI is reviewing these places again. The final decision will be taken soon. The IPL 2025 is once again on a thrilling turn. Cricket lovers will now enjoy strong matches again from 17 May to 3 June. It is expected that this time the tournament will end without any disruption.
