Sports News: Nitish Kumar Reddy, an all-rounder for India, has been ruled out of the remainder of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy and will miss the last two Tests against England. The Shubman Gill-led team is currently down 1-2 in the five-match series. However, multiple instances of injuries have affected the visitors' preparations for the forthcoming Manchester Test, which will begin on Wednesday, July 23. According to an official announcement from the BCCI, Nitish Kumar Reddy has been ruled out due to a left knee injury and will now return home.

Arshdeep is out for the Manchester test

Pacer Arshdeep Singh, who has yet to make his Test debut, has been ruled out of the fourth match against England in Manchester after suffering an impact injury to his left thumb while bowling in the nets during a training session at Beckenham.

"The BCCI Medical Team is monitoring his progress," the board said in an official statement. The Men's Selection Committee has added Anshul Kamboj to the squad for the fourth Test in Manchester. The pacer has already joined the team in the UK.

India trailing in the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy

The Shubman Gill-led India suffered a sad 22-run defeat in the Lord's Test, falling behind 1-2 in the five-match series. Ravindra Jadeja gave everything he could to help India fight back from 112/8 in the pursuit of 193. In the end, Mohammed Siraj lost his wicket to Shoaib Bashir.

India's obsession with all-rounders

Throughout the series, India preferred to field three all-rounders. Ravindra Jadeja, Washington Sundar, and Nitish Kumar Reddy were all part of the same playing XI for the Edgbaston and Lord's Tests. However, with Reddy hurt, India's balance is uncertain, and it remains to be seen what the management would do next.

Will Kuldeep get a game?

Kuldeep Yadav is also yet to play a game, and it remains to be seen whether the management believes enough in his ability to offer him some playing time. Karun Nair has also failed to set the stage on fire, failing to seize opportunities. India might replace him with Sai Sudarshan at no. 3.
