New Delhi: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is set to honour the legends and rising stars of Indian cricket at the Naman Awards 2026, scheduled to be held in New Delhi on March 15, 2026. This year's highest honor— the 'Colonel C.K. Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award' —will be conferred upon former legendary player and World Cup champion Roger Binny, and former great batsman and coach Rahul Dravid.
Meanwhile, in the realm of women's cricket, Mithali Raj will be bestowed with the BCCI Lifetime Achievement Award. Regarding performances during the 2024-25 season, Indian Test and ODI captain Shubman Gill has been named the Best International Men's Cricketer (Polly Umrigar Award) for the second time, while Smriti Mandhana will receive the Best International Women's Cricketer award for the fifth time in her career.
In domestic cricket, Mumbai's Ira Jadhav and Haryana's Shafali Verma will be honored for their outstanding performances. Additionally, Ayush Mhatre and Harsh Dubey will be presented with the Best All-rounder awards in domestic competitions. For maintaining its dominance in domestic tournaments, the Mumbai Cricket Association will once again be recognized as the Best Performing Association.
The most historic moment of this event will be when the BCCI, for the first time, honors the five Indian teams that have won ICC trophies. This includes the Senior Men's team—winners of the 2025 Champions Trophy and the 2026 T20 World Cup—the Senior Women's team (winners of the 2025 ODI World Cup), and the Under-19 Men's and Women's World Cup-winning teams.
