England’s Nat Sciver-Brunt has returned to the top spot in the ICC ODI batter rankings after her impressive performance in the recent series against India. As per the International Cricket Council (ICC), she is now ranked No. 1 among ODI batters once again.

Sciver-Brunt scored a total of 160 runs in the three-match home series. Her best performance was a 98-run knock in the final match, which helped her climb to the top ranking for the first time in 2025. Even though England lost the match and the series 2-1, her innings stood out and earned her high praise.

This is the first time this year that the 32-year-old has regained the No. 1 spot, which she first reached in July 2023. Since then, she has remained in the top five, competing with top players like South Africa’s Laura Wolvaardt and India’s Smriti Mandhana.

Changes in Rankings for Indian and Irish Players

Smriti Mandhana has now placed in the second spot after scoring 115 runs in the series against England. Meanwhile, her teammates made good progress. Harmanpreet Kaur moved up 10 places to 11th, and Jemimah Rodrigues climbed two positions to reach 13th, both thanks to their solid performances in the same series.

Several Irish players have also seen ranking improvements following their ODI series against Zimbabwe. All-rounder Orla Prendergast is the biggest mover. She jumped 12 places to equal 22nd in the ODI batter list after scoring an unbeaten 67 in the second game. She also climbed 10 spots to reach 33rd among ODI bowlers for her strong bowling in that match.

All-Rounder and Bowler Rankings See More Movement

Ireland’s Arlene Kelly moved up four positions to share the 30th spot in the ODI bowling rankings. Her two-wicket performance in the first match against Zimbabwe helped boost her position. Meanwhile, England’s Sophie Ecclestone and Australia’s Ash Gardner continue to hold the top two spots for ODI bowlers.

In the ODI all-rounder record, Prendergast rose three spots to reach 10th place. Ash Gardner remains at the top of this list as well. Also making progress is Ireland captain Gaby Lewis, who moved up four positions to 14th in the T20I batter rankings after hitting two half-centuries against Zimbabwe in Dublin.
