Mumbai: Arjun Tendulkar, son of cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, is set to marry his fiancee this March, as per reports. The bride-to-be is Saaniya Chandhok, granddaughter of noted businessman and social figure Ravi Ghai.
The wedding is expected to be a close-knit affair, attended by family members and a small circle of friends.
According to sources close to the families, they confirmed the development, saying preparations are already underway. Both families are keeping details under wraps, choosing privacy over a grand public announcement.
Saaniya Chandhok comes from a well-known Delhi-based family. She is the granddaughter of Ravi Ghai and is said to share a long-standing relationship with Arjun. While she largely stays away from the public spotlight, she is known within social circles and among family friends.
Those familiar with the couple describe the relationship as steady and grounded, built over time rather than sudden attention.
The wedding is scheduled for March, though the exact date and venue have not been officially disclosed. According to people aware of the plans, the ceremonies will be low-key, keeping in line with the Tendulkar family’s preference for privacy.
"The wedding festivities will begin on March 3 and will mostly be in Mumbai. Of course, it will be close friends and family only," according to a source.
The engagement was also kept firmly under wraps. Four months ago, the cricketer broke his silence during a Reddit AMA session. When a fan asked point-blank, "Did Arjun really get engaged?" Sachin didn't dodge the question. Responding with a smile, he confirmed the news, saying, "Yes, he did, and we are all very excited for the new phase in his life."
The couple exchanged rings in August 2025 as they held a secret engagement ceremony attended only by their closest family members.
The Tendulkar family has not issued a formal statement so far. However, those close to them say the family is happy and focused on keeping the celebrations personal and meaningful.
Sachin, who has largely stayed away from public comment on personal matters, is expected to host close friends from cricket and other walks of life.
