New Delhi: Gujarat Titans captain Shubhman Gill playing Unstoppable in the IPL 2026. Today, in the final match, Gujarat Titans is set to face Royal Challengers Bangaluru (RCB), at their Homeground, Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.
Gill was born on September 8, 1999, in a small town of Punjab, named Fazilka. Cricket wasn't just a hobby for him but also a serious pursuit. Such endevours were largely driven by his father, Lakhvinder Singh. His father had an unusual way of pushing his son to be better in the field of sports, especially cricket. He used to offer young local bowlers 100 rupees on the spot if they could get Shubman out during practice. Most of them went home empty-handed. That kind of environment shaped Gill into the batter he is today.
Off the field, Gill's face is everywhere. He's tied up with most of the recognised names in consumer brands like Nike, CEAT, Gillette, among others. These endorsement partnerships contribute heavily to his annual earnings, totaling his total income well beyond what cricket alone brings in.
Gill's first IPL contract came in 2018, and since then, his financial profile saw a tremendous growth. His net worth is currently estimated to be in the range of Rs. 34 crore to 55 crore rupees.
His income flows in from three main sources:
The very first one is his BCCI retainer, from which he earns around Rs. 5 crore, as a BCCI Grade A contracted player, Gill earns around 5 crore rupees per year as a base salary. That's before match fees, which are paid separately for every Test, ODI, and T20 international he plays.
Then another one is IPL contracts, from where he was retained by GT ahead of the 2026 season for 16.50 crore rupees. When you add up everything he's earned across his IPL career so far, the total comes to approximately 64.20 crore rupees; a number that reflects just how valued he is in franchise cricket.
Apart from this all, He also earned well through brand deals.
