Sports News: Novak Djokovic defeated Australia's Alex De Minaur in the Round of 16 clash at Wimbledon. The Serbian scripted a fine comeback after losing the first set 6-1. Djokovic has his eyes on the prize, the record 25th major title, amid becoming the third player with 100 wins at Wimbledon on Saturday. He joined the legendary list of Martina Navratilova and Roger Federer. Djokovic has a great chance of equalling the record with the long-retired Margaret Court. Also, if the star tennis player wins Wimbledon, it will make him the oldest player to win a Grand Slam in the Open Era.

Kohli admires Djokovic's win

After the No. 6 seed from Serbia managed to go past the Round of 16, the win surely impressed Virat Kohli. The former Indian captain came as a celebrity guest alongside his wife, actress Anushka Sharma, to watch Djokovic play. After Djokovic's win, Kohli took to his Instagram story and wrote, "What a win! It was business as usual for the gladiator. To this, the Serbian replied, "Thank you for supporting." Virat had also come to watch Wimbledon ten years ago in 2015. English cricketer Joe Root and former tennis sensation Roger Federer were also seen among the celebrity guests.

Djokovic post-win

Djokovic said that he did not start off well, but his counterpartr did. "It wasn't a great start for me; it was a great start for Alex de Minaur, obviously. I kind of reset myself in the second set," Djokovic said. "I was very pleased to hang in tough in the right moments and win this one," he added. Djokovic went on to win five games in a row after De Minaur threatened with a 4-1 lead in the fourth set.

The Jannik Sinner challenge

With a possible semi-final on the cards, the 24-time Grand Slam winner might face Italy's Jannik Sinner. The Italian, on the other hand, avoided a scare late on Monday night in London when Grigor Dimitrov had to drop out of their round of 16 match because of an injury after winning the first two sets.
