CJP backtracks after kicking off controversy, says Abhijeet Dipke is not in custody

New Delhi: Amidst the 'Parliament Chalo' (March to Parliament) protest by the Cockroach Janata Party, spokesperson Sourav Das had claimed that the Delhi Police had detained Abhijit Dipke. However, he has now clarified that Abhijit has neither been taken into custody nor arrested.

What did Sourav Das say? 

Earlier, Sourav Das stated on the social media platform X, "The police have picked up Abhijit Deepke. We appeal to all MPs to immediately come out onto the streets in support of the students! The police are brutally cracking down on peaceful protesters and beating them up. Prior to this, the Delhi Police had already detained several protesters who were marching towards Parliament. Meanwhile, security at the Parliament House has also been stepped up."
Earlier, Sourav Das had also claimed that the police used force against protesters during the march, resulting in head injuries to 40-50 people. Additionally, he claimed that the hair of Sonam Wangchuk's wife, Gitanjali Angmo, was pulled.

Did JP Nadda meet CJP delegation? 

Union Health Minister JP Nadda met a delegation from the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) on Monday regarding the ongoing protests demanding the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
Sharing this information on the social media platform X, Cockroach Party spokesperson Sourav Das said, "After waiting for over two hours, Ashutosh Ranka and I met JP Nadda-ji at his residence for 10 minutes. We handed him a written letter outlining our demands, and he assured us that he would hold internal discussions regarding the matter. We are currently in that process." Amidst the ongoing agitation at the national capital's Jantar Mantar over alleged exam irregularities and education reforms, the central government had expressed willingness to initiate talks with the CJP.
Das had earlier announced on X that he and Ranka were on their way to meet Nadda. He said that the government had reached out for talks this morning. Das wrote, "We are going to meet J.P. Nadda. Our demands are clear. A large number of youths are associated with the movement, and we are confident that we will emerge victorious."
