New Delhi: A big update has come regarding Delhi government's Lakshmi Yojana. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta can release the first instalment of Rs 2500 for the eligible women of Delhi today. For this, a big programme has been organised at Talkatora Stadium, where about 2500 women will be given the benefits of the scheme directly. It is being said that till now more than 6 lakh women have registered for this scheme. The government's target is to provide this help to more than 17 lakh needy women of Delhi.
The government has given two options to get the money. In the first option, Rs 1500 will come in the form of digital currency of RBI and the remaining Rs 1000 will come in the CBDC wallet. In the second option, if you do not want a digital wallet, then the entire amount of Rs 2500 will be deposited directly into your Aadhaar. Will be transferred to the bank account linked to it. Meaning the money will come into your hands only.
Not everyone will get the benefit of this scheme. Some conditions have been kept for this.
This scheme has been specially designed for women from economically weaker sections so that they can get some financial assistance every month.
The government has made it clear that some people have been kept out of this scheme.
If someone takes money by giving wrong information, then the government can take legal action along with recovery of the money.
Delhi government has kept a huge budget for this scheme. A provision of Rs 5,110 crore has been made for the Lakshmi Yojana in the budget for the financial year 2026-27. Today it is being started from Talkatora Stadium and gradually Rs 2500 will start coming into the accounts of all eligible women every month.
