Three Bodies, Locked Car and a ‘Baba’: CCTV Clue Gives Delhi Police a Break in Peeragarhi Case

New Delhi: This incident at Peeragarhi flyover in Delhi has now really shocked everyone. Initially it looked like all three had committed suicide by consuming poison, but as the police investigation progressed, the case became more complicated. The biggest revelation so far is that a fourth person was also present in the car at that time – the man dressed as 'Baba', who has now become the biggest center of investigation.

Who was that 'Baba' in CCTV?

When the police searched the footage of nearby cameras, they found a very clear clip. A man dressed as 'Baba' comes near the car, looks around for a bit and then sits comfortably in the car. The policemen were shocked to see this. Officers say that this person was already connected to the three deceased. Right now the police are finding out what his connection was—money, tantra-mantra, or something else? The police have arrested this person for questioning and are continuously asking him why he went into the car, how long he stayed and what happened next.

How did the police know?

At around 3.30 pm on Sunday afternoon, a call was received in the control room – a white Tigor car is parked in the service lane under the flyover, three people are sitting inside but no one is moving. When the team reached, opened the door, bodies of two men and a woman were found lying inside. Investigation revealed that the car was parked there for about 50 minutes, but no suspicious person was seen coming or going during this period.

Marks of assault or injury?

No signs of quarrel, fight or injury were found anywhere inside or outside the car. Therefore, there is suspicion of suicide by consuming poison from the beginning. Police think that all three may have drunk some soft drink or water mixed with poison. Plastic bottles and glasses were also found in the car. But the truth will emerge only through forensics and post-mortem.

Who was the deceased, what is the family saying?

The names of the deceased are 76-year-old Randhir Singh (car owner, on the driving seat), 47-year-old Shiv Naresh Singh (property dealer, on the adjacent seat) and 40-year-old Lakshmi Devi (on the rear seat, resident of Bihar). The family members are saying that all three were absolutely normal at home. After hearing about suicide they were not ready to accept it. They believe that some big game has been played somewhere.
