Ratia: Haryana’s BJP government is committed to protecting farmers’ interests and ensuring the procurement of every grain of paddy produced in the state, BJP state vice-president and former MLA Prof. Ravindra Baliyala said on Tuesday. He asserted that the government would make every possible effort to ensure farmers receive the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for their crops.

Baliyala made these remarks during a visit to the office of senior BJP leader Shiv Wadhwa at the grain market in Ratia. Addressing party workers and other attendees, he said the government under Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini was giving top priority to resolving farmers’ concerns and ensuring a smooth procurement process.

Government Focused on Hassle-Free Paddy Procurement

Baliyala said the BJP government was committed to securing fair returns for farmers’ hard work. He stressed that paddy procurement must be conducted transparently and that farmers should not face unnecessary difficulties while selling their produce.

He also called on the officials concerned to discharge their responsibilities seriously and ensure that genuine grievances raised by farmers are addressed promptly.

According to Baliyala, protecting farmers’ economic interests and strengthening the agricultural sector remain key priorities of the state government.

Baliyala Urges Congress to Act as a Constructive Opposition

Targeting the Congress, Baliyala alleged that its leaders were engaging in political rhetoric in the name of farmers rather than helping resolve their problems.

He said the opposition should play a constructive role instead of politicising farmers’ concerns. Practical measures, effective administration and concrete efforts, he added, were necessary to address issues faced by the farming community.

Baliyala maintained that the BJP government was continuously working to resolve farmers’ problems and improve the functioning of the procurement system.

BJP Workers Asked to Help Farmers Access Government Schemes

The BJP leader said the state government was working with the interests of farmers, labourers, traders and the general public in mind. Strengthening farmers’ financial condition and making agriculture more robust, he added, were among the government’s major objectives.

He urged party workers to engage directly with farmers and residents, understand their problems and help eligible beneficiaries access government welfare schemes.

Senior BJP leader Shiv Wadhwa, Satpal Kamboj, Harsh Wadhwa, Mukesh Kumar, Kamal Kumar and other party workers and local dignitaries were present during the visit.
