Jagwinder Dandiwal Elected Ratia Rural Rice Association President, Key Decisions Taken

Haryana: An important meeting of the Rural Rice Association, Ratia was held today at Pooja Royal on Tohana Road. The meeting focused on various key issues concerning the upcoming paddy season. All millers associated with the organisation were present, and several decisions were taken unanimously.

Jagwinder Singh Dandiwal was unanimously elected as the president of the Rural Rice Association, Ratia, for the next two years, while Rajesh was appointed as secretary.

A 12-member committee was also formed for the upcoming season. The committee members include Raju Karandi (Ratangarh), Rakesh (Lamba), Vinod Bansal (Kamana), Dr Suresh (Mahamdki), Anil (Lali), Tony (Alika), Gurpal (Bada), Varun (Bamanwala), Chhinder (Boda), Updesh (Nagpur), Jagbinder (Ladhuvas) and Goga (Ratangarh).

The newly appointed president said that all millers would collectively distribute and procure paddy during the upcoming season. He added that if necessary, the association could also approach the court over the matter.

He said that millers would purchase paddy from the mandis only according to the government-prescribed moisture standards. All rice mills would also install paddy-drying machines. If any miller failed to follow the conditions laid down by the association, a fine would be imposed.

It was also decided that ₹10,000 would be collected from each mill as an association fund. The members agreed to purchase paddy with 17 per cent moisture content.

The association also decided that no miller would purchase paddy through a floor weighing scale or directly, and anyone found violating the decision would have to pay a fine of ₹5 lakh.

On the occasion, Sukhpal Singh Mahamdki, Gurpal Singh Bada, Sonu Jindal, Sony Brar, Ravi Jindal, Ramgopal Pal, Raju Lali and other members of the association were present.
