Social Worker Harveer Joda Leads Cleanliness Drive at Shaheed Devender Singh Park

Haryana: Prominent social worker Harveer Joda on Sunday personally led a cleanliness drive at Shaheed Devender Singh Park, raising awareness among residents about the importance of cleanliness. Holding a broom, he cleaned the park premises and collected scattered garbage, waste and dry leaves. Other people also joined the campaign and participated in spreading the message of cleanliness.

Cleanliness Is a Collective Responsibility

Harveer Joda said that keeping the city clean is not the sole responsibility of the municipal authorities or sanitation workers. Every citizen must understand their responsibility towards maintaining cleanliness in and around their homes, shops and public places. He said that the city’s sanitation system can be improved only through public awareness and participation.

He added that parks are important centres for health, exercise and recreation for city residents. Maintaining such public spaces in a clean condition is the responsibility of everyone. People should avoid littering in parks and encourage others to maintain cleanliness as well.

Small Efforts Can Bring Big Changes

The social worker said that social service is not limited to large-scale events. Every small effort made for the welfare of society can become an important step towards positive change. Through the cleanliness drive, an effort was made to encourage people to understand that everyone must contribute towards keeping public places clean.

He appealed to residents to cooperate in keeping public places in their surroundings clean and dispose of waste only at designated locations. He said that with public awareness and collective participation, Ratia can be transformed into a clean, healthy and beautiful city.
