He further added, "Such horrific incidents at religious places expose negligence in management. This is not merely an accident—it is a failure of the system, and there must be accountability for it."

Kejriwal’s statement directly questions the functioning of the Uttarakhand government. Every year, lakhs of devotees visit Haridwar and the Mansa Devi Temple during the Sawan season. Leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party have alleged that the tragedy is a result of administrative negligence and political indifference. They questioned, “When there was already a forecast of a massive crowd, why weren’t proper arrangements made?” Demanding transparency and accountability, the AAP has called for a high-level judicial inquiry into the incident. The party stated that mere formality won't bring justice—strict action must be taken against those responsible so that the affected families can get the justice they deserve.
