Chandigarh: With an aim to develop the spirit of entrepreneurship among children from an early age, Prep Right Institute, Panchkula, organised an entrepreneurship gala, 'Kidpreneur', at Strawberry Fields High School, Sector-26. Children in the age group of 6 to 15 years participated enthusiastically in this programme. Small entrepreneurs displayed their skills and business thinking and set up a total of 104 stalls. This event gave the children an opportunity to convert their ideas into products and present them to the people.
‘The Creative Seed’, the initiative of four young entrepreneurs Abir Goyal, Riana Goyal, Suhani Singla and Siya Goyal, was the centre of special attraction in the programme. These children attracted people's attention through various products prepared with their creativity.
The stall at ‘The Creative Bees’ had adorable stationery, beaded heart mirrors, colourful paracord bag charms, hand-painted pouches, tote bags and DIY kits. Children had prepared these products with their imagination and artistic skills. Along with creativity, efforts to understand the market preferences were also visible in the products made by them.
The objective of this gala was not only to showcase the children's products but also to encourage them to think independently, work together with each other and turn their ideas into reality. The programme provided a platform for the children to develop a basic understanding of business at an early age and present their products with confidence.
