Aman Arora Takes Charge as Punjab Industries Minister, Sets Investment Push in Motion

Chandigarh: Punjab Cabinet Minister Mr. Aman Arora on Tuesday assumed office as the Minister for Industries & Commerce at Udyog Bhawan, Sector 17, Chandigarh. Notably, Mr. Arora already holds key portfolios including Employment Generation, Skill Development & Training, New & Renewable Energy Sources, Good Governance & Information Technology and Printing & Stationery.

After taking charge, Mr. Arora expressed gratitude towards Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor Sh. Arvind Kejriwal for reposing faith in him. He said that his top priority would be to transform Punjab into a most preferred investment destination by cutting red tape, promoting sustainable industries and ensuring that every industrial expansion translates directly into local jobs, besides, creating a seamless ecosystem linking industrial policy, clean energy, skill development and governance reform.

“My goal is to make Punjab a model for ‘Ease of Doing Business’ while generating dignified, skill-based employment for our youth,” Mr. Aman Arora stated. With Industries & Commerce now aligned with Skill Development and Renewable Energy, the state is building a circular economy where growth, green energy and employment go hand in hand, he added.

Earlier, Mr. Arora was warmly welcomed by Administrative Secretary Industries & Commerce Mr. Gurkirat Kirpal Singh, Vice-Chairperson Punjab Development Commission (PDC) Ms. Seema Bansal, CEO Invest Punjab Mr. Amit Dhaka, Secretary Industries Mr. Mohinder Pal, Director Industries Mr. Jaspreet Singh,  MD Punjab Infotech Mr. HS Brar, MD PSIDC Mr. Harpreet Singh Sudan, MD Punjab Financial Corporation Ms. Senu Duggal, on reaching Udyog Bhawan. Mr. Aman Arora also held a preliminary review meeting with the senior officials of the department. He directed them to accelerate the ongoing industrial projects and step-up efforts to woo more investments to the state.
