He instructed teams to verify structural strength. He said quality checks must be routine. The inspections will now expand statewide. No compromise will be tolerated anywhere.
The CM said this campaign assures road quality across Punjab. Thousands of crores are being spent on infrastructure. Public money must not be wasted. Quality control is non-negotiable for the government. Sudden inspections will continue in coming days. The state wants long-term durability of all roads. Citizens expect transparency and accountability.
Mann said sewer and water pipelines must finish before road construction. This prevents new roads from getting damaged early. He urged citizens to monitor construction work. The CM announced Punjab’s largest-ever road project. It covers 44,920 kilometers of roads. The budget stands at ₹16,209 crore. Each road will include a five-year maintenance guarantee. This ensures longevity and safety. Roads must withstand heavy usage. Punjab intends to build the strongest network in its history.
Flying squads are monitoring construction regularly. Several contracts have already been cancelled. Substandard material use will lead to immediate action. Mann said negligence won’t be forgiven. Public funds must be used responsibly. Contractors must work transparently. The government remains committed to clean governance.
