Caught on cam: Noida man shot dead by three assailants outside his home

New Delhi: A young man was shot dead outside his home in Greater Noida by three armed assailants on Tuesday, police officials said. The incident took place under the Ecotech-1 police station area and was captured on CCTV cameras.

Where did the incident happen? 

The victim, who is identified as Nitin and resident of Luksar village, was shot dead in broad daylight by three armed man due to an old rivalry. 

Nitin, who sustained critical bullet injuries, was rushed to a hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

What is there in the CCTV footage?

The shooting incident happened in the Ecotech-1 police station area, while the incident was recorded on CCTV.

In the CCTV footage, shows Nitin running and escaping from three armed men, who can be later seen dragging the victim to the ground and shooting him several times.

What did the police say?

Sudhir Kumar, ADCP, Greater Noida said that according to the preliminary investigation, the murder appeared to be linked to a longstanding rivalry.

“Today, on February 24, 2026, Sachin and his associates opened fire on Nitin, a resident of Luksar village, under the jurisdiction of the Ecotech First police station, due to an old rivalry. Nitin was seriously injured and admitted to the hospital for treatment. Police officers are present at the scene. Peace and order have been established. Further legal action is underway,” Kumar told the news agency ANI.

According to the police, Nitin, who is a son of Phire, earlier had a dispute with some villagers and accused, who is identified as Sachin, along with his associated allegedly attacked the victim.

Authorities said that two suspects have been taken into custody for questioning and further added that investigation is in progress to establish the sequence of events and the role of all those involved.
