Noida: The struggle may be long, but farmers are not ready to back down from their fight for their rights. The farmers' protest at Dayanatpur village in the Jewar area continued for the 100th consecutive day. The farmers have made it clear that the agitation will not be called off until a concrete decision is taken on their demands. They have also stated that if necessary, Diwali, Govardhan Puja, and Bhai Dooj will be celebrated at the protest site.

Havan Held for 7% Residential Plots

Under the banner of the Kisan Sangharsh Samiti, farmers performed a havan to press for their demand for 7% residential plots and expressed their dissatisfaction with the authority. The farmers said that families affected by the Yamuna Expressway project have been struggling for their rights for a long time, but their grievances remain unresolved.

Farmers Demand Additional Compensation and Abadi Plots

The key demands of the protesting farmers include 7% residential plots, an additional compensation of 64.7%, and abadi plots for farmers affected by the 60-metre service road.

Farmers Reject Assurances, Vow to Continue Indefinite Protest

The farmers alleged that even after 18 years, the authority has failed to take their demands seriously. Despite repeated assurances, no concrete solution has been visible on the ground. The protesters have unanimously declared that mere promises will no longer be enough to end the agitation. They vowed to continue the indefinite protest until their demands are fulfilled. This year, the festive celebrations will also be shared at the protest site.
