Uttar Pradesh: Four detained after brutal assault on 7-year-old girl at under-construction mall in Ghaziabad

Ghaziabad: A shocking incident involving the gang-rape and subsequent murder of a seven-year-old girl in the Raj Nagar Extension area of ​​Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, has caused an uproar. The police were informed of the matter late at night and have initiated an investigation. Police state that confirmation of the gang-rape will depend on the post-mortem report. Following the discovery of the incident, the girl's family lodged a complaint at the Nandgram police station. Based on this, the police have detained three to four suspects for questioning. Panic has gripped the area after the body of a seven-year-old girl was found at an under-construction mall in Raj Nagar Extension, falling under the jurisdiction of the Nandgram police station in Ghaziabad district. Police reported receiving information about the incident around 1:00 AM. A police team immediately arrived at the scene, secured the area, and began the investigation. Given the gravity of the matter, senior officials inspected the site. The family alleges that the girl was gang-raped and subsequently murdered by being struck on the head with a rod.

It is alleged that the perpetrators committed the crime on the third floor and then decided to dispose of the body. They reportedly rendered the girl unconscious by striking her head with a rod and then threw the body down. Later, the girl's body was found in a semi-nude state in the basement.

Meanwhile, the police initiated the process of registering a case based on the written complaint filed by the family. Several suspects have been detained for questioning to solve the case. Officials state that all aspects of the incident are being investigated and strict action will be taken against the guilty. Reports indicate that four suspects have been detained on suspicion. Based on the complaint, the police have registered a case involving charges of kidnapping, gang-rape, murder, and violations of the POCSO Act. ACP Priyashree Pal stated that immediate cognizance was taken of the report regarding the girl's body found at an under-construction mall. A team from the Nandgram police station arrived at the scene, and police along with an FSL team conducted an investigation. Several suspects have been detained and are currently being interrogated.

Politics has now entered the fray regarding the murder of the innocent girl. The Congress party has lashed out at the government over the incident. Upon learning of the event, Ghaziabad District Congress Committee President Satish Sharma, City President Veer Singh Jatav, and senior Congress leaders Mangeram Tyagi, Vineet Tyagi, and Irfan immediately visited the site. The leaders met the victim's family, shared in their grief, and expressed their deepest condolences. Condemning this barbaric act in the strongest terms, Congress leaders targeted the BJP government. The party has demanded that the four detained perpetrators be sentenced to death immediately through a fast-track court.
