Vrindavan: A foreign national’s unusual attempt to meditate atop an overhead water tank caused a stir in the Rukmini Vihar area of Vrindavan on Thursday evening. The incident came to light after a bystander recorded a video of the man sitting on the elevated structure and the footage subsequently circulated on social media. Police reached the spot and persuaded him to come down safely.
According to the available information, the man was identified as 26-year-old Hoglka, son of Jast Valentine, a resident of Germany. He reportedly wanted to sit alone and meditate, prompting him to climb to the upper portion of the water tank.
His presence at such a height raised concerns about the possibility of an accident. The situation attracted attention from people in the surrounding area, with a video of the incident eventually spreading online.
Police were alerted after the video began circulating on social media. Personnel arrived at the location and began speaking with the man, attempting to convince him to descend from the tank.
After approximately 30 minutes of effort, the police successfully persuaded him to come down. The situation was brought under control without any untoward incident, according to the report.
The incident highlights the importance of taking safety precautions when seeking secluded places for meditation, particularly around elevated structures that may pose a risk of accidental injury.
