Ghaziabad: Ghaziabad Police reached out to underprivileged families living in slum settlements on Monday, distributing food supplies, listening to residents’ concerns and assuring them of assistance. The outreach was conducted across all police station jurisdictions in the commissionerate on October 19 under the campaign “Aapki Police, Aapke Darwaze Par” (Your Police at Your Doorstep).

Police teams visited different settlements, interacted with residents, gathered information about their difficulties and assured them that complaints would be addressed in accordance with the law. The initiative aimed to strengthen public trust and demonstrate a community-focused approach to policing.

Police Commissioner Visits Lohamandi in Person

Police Commissioner J. Ravinder Goud personally visited Lohamandi in the Kavi Nagar police station area, accompanied by other officers and police personnel. He spoke directly with residents to understand their problems and immediate needs.

Additional Police Commissioner Keshav Kumar Chaudhary, DCP City Dhawal Jaiswal, DCP Headquarters Balwant Kumar Chaudhary, ACP Priyashree Pal, ACP Upasana Pandey and ACP Suchita Singh were among the officials present.

During the visit, food supplies were distributed among economically disadvantaged families and children living in the settlements. The interaction brought smiles to the faces of children and offered residents an opportunity to share their concerns directly with senior police officials.

How Did the Campaign Address Residents’ Concerns?

The campaign focused on more than distributing essential supplies. Police personnel also interacted with families, listened to their grievances and encouraged them to approach the police whenever they needed assistance.

Residents were assured that complaints would receive attention and that appropriate action would be taken under the applicable rules. The outreach was intended to make police services more accessible to vulnerable communities and reinforce the message that officers were available to help protect them.

Commissioner Reviews Mission Shakti Centre

Following the public interaction, Commissioner J. Ravinder Goud inspected the Mission Shakti Centre at Kavi Nagar police station.

He directed officials to ensure the prompt and effective resolution of complaints involving women and to give priority to matters concerning women’s safety.

During the broader campaign, police personnel also spoke with women, girls and other residents to learn about their concerns, complaints and suggestions. Citizens were encouraged to report problems or suspicious activities to the police promptly so that necessary action could be taken.

The initiative across Ghaziabad’s police station areas highlighted the department’s efforts to combine public safety with community engagement and support for people in need.
